I want to thank Bill Weber for hosting an ops session on his HO-scale Union Pacific DC layout last evening. We had an estimated 20 operator’s this session. This large layout covers two UP divisions… Portland to Salt Lake and North Platte to Salt Lake. Salt Lake links the two as a division yard with crew changes, engine swaps and limited switching. Bill’s layout requires two dispatchers, one for each division. Ken Hojnacki moved 23 trains over the North Platte division, while the other dispatcher moved 21 trains over the Portland division.
